Reflecting Pool

This yard started as very over grown, it was hard to see the opportunities until it was cleared out. Because the view from the house is very linear, I wanted to maximize the view of the space by creating a long linear koi pond that lead to a raised deck housing a large block fire pit. Raising the deck makes a more grand space and pull you out to the far part corner so you can experience the whole yard. It also allowed us to have a waterfall effect with for the koi pond. The rest of the yard was kept simple and affordable, with 3/4 gravel and recycled red pavers spaced out for a modern feel. (Design team: S. Bendrick, L. Tosca & J. Hanussak)
